SEMTU360 Cookie Policy

1. Purpose

This Cookie Policy is published by GMG Technic Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi to inform users about cookies set via www.semtu.net (marketing site) and app.semtu.net (SEMTU360 application), in line with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698 (“KVKK”) and the principle decisions of the Turkish Data Protection Authority.

2. What is a Cookie?

Cookies are small text files saved on your device by websites you visit, via your browser. They are used to remember preferences, keep your session active, understand traffic, and improve your experience.

3. Cookie Categories We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies (no opt-in required)

Required for the core functioning of the website and application. Authentication, security, locale and basic navigation cannot work without them.

• semtu_session — Session JWT. Lifetime: session. First-party (SEMTU360).
• NEXT_LOCALE — Language/locale preference. Lifetime: 1 year. First-party.
• cookie_consent — Your cookie preferences. Lifetime: 1 year. First-party.
• csrf_token — Cross-site request forgery protection. Lifetime: session. First-party.

Legal basis: KVKK art. 5/2-(c), (e), (f): performance of contract, establishment of a right, legitimate interest. No explicit consent is required.

3.2 Functional Cookies (opt-in required)

Used to remember user preferences and personalize the experience (e.g. operation mode toggle, context panel open/closed state).

Legal basis: KVKK art. 5/1 — explicit consent. Activated only after “Accept” on the banner.

3.3 Analytics Cookies (opt-in required)

Used to understand site and application usage and detect performance issues. No third-party analytics cookies are currently in use; if added in the future, this policy will be updated and consent will be re-requested.

3.4 Marketing / Advertising Cookies

SEMTU360 does not currently use marketing or advertising tracking cookies.

4. Third-Party Cookies

On app.semtu.net, browser push notification infrastructure (web-push) from the browser vendor (Google, Mozilla, Apple, Microsoft) may be engaged when you opt into push notifications. These cookie-like identifiers are managed by the browser vendor; SEMTU360 does not access them directly.

No third-party analytics, advertising or social media cookies are currently in use. Any addition will be transparently listed here.

5. Managing Cookie Preferences

Users can manage cookie preferences via:

• The cookie banner shown on first visit — “Accept” or “Reject”, with “Manage preferences” for category-level fine-tuning.
• Browser settings, to delete or block cookies.
• Consent can be withdrawn at any time by re-opening the banner or clearing browser cookies to reset the preference.

Default = Off (opt-in): Non-essential cookies are not set until the user explicitly accepts. User consent is logged.

For the exercise of your rights under KVKK art. 11 (access, rectification, erasure, objection, etc.) with respect to personal data processed through cookies, please use the application channels set out in the Privacy Notice.
